Teasing the Korean Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 I have found that most mono Brubeck albums have a better balances between the drums and piano, Time Out being a prime example. That said, I prefer his bossa album in stereo. Quote

Every record has a story, yes sir. Quote
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted March 19, 2009 Author Report Posted March 19, 2009 no it definetly does not say MONO on the bottom of the labels like that....but otherwise it looks similar, and its def. the mono catalogue #, and it def. sounds great, even though its scratchy! Quote
JSngry Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 Hmmmmm..... just looked, and my Brubeck does say mono.... I bet yours is older.... Something else I remember about mine is that it came in a plastic bag inner sleeve with a perforated top that you had to tear off to get open. That was....quaint. Quote
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted March 19, 2009 Author Report Posted March 19, 2009 no, yrs is prob older, i dont know Quote
clifford_thornton Posted March 19, 2009 Report Posted March 19, 2009 (edited) One eye could be a European CBS with the "eye" around the spindle hole. But the catalog number would be different, I guess. Edited March 19, 2009 by clifford_thornton Quote

I found one, unopened, at a flea market for a buck or so. It was a JJ Johnson album on Columbia. Quote
