My understanding is that it is a reissue of one of the LP's, with bonus tracks.

Yes , very much so if you have any interest in his music particularly as it comes from the 60s when he was relatively under recorded

Has anyone purchased the Philly Joe release recently and willing to offer a few comments? I just picked up the April edition of Down Beat magazine and it gave it 4 1/2 stars. I see Johnny Griffin, Don Sickler, Frank Wess, Charles Davis and Cecil Payne are on the date.

I can't say anything about the CD or the bonus tracks but the vinyl was great and I highly recommend the recording.
