Art Pepper - The Hollywood All-Star Sessions (5-CD)

Newbury Comics is currently selling this on Amazon Marketplace for $29.99 brand new. (I don't know if it is just one or if there are multiple copies available.) It's not exactly a "can't pass it up deal" but this is the best price I've seen for a brand new/sealed set. There are a lot of great artists and performances here which are definitely worth checking out. I recommend it.

I purchased this set earlier this year from Newbury Comics. A great collection of music at a great price. Anyone who enjoys Art Pepper ought to own this one. A no brainer.

I had this set but sold it, I found it disappointing and I have more than enough Pepper albums that do more for me; I like Pepper better in a quartet setting.

I had all this material on lp and bought the box mainly to get the Jack Sheldon session on cd. At the Newbury price, I consider the rest bonus tracks.

Local FYE's have had this box $19.99 - $24.99 used so that's definitely a fair price by comparison. I might be tempted if its the third box in their buy 2 used items and get the third at 50% off.

I bought one today after confirming from Newbury that the set is indeed new and sealed and untouched by saws, drills, and any other various UPC manglers. The samples sound enticing.
