Jefferson Airplane Book & Box

I just ordered this and I thought some of you old salts who grew up with the San Francisco sound might find it of interest. I had the good fortune to see the Jefferson Airplane twice in their mid to late '60's hey day. Mighty fine stuff. I still think Marty Balin had one of the great underrated voices in the history of rock.

Thinking about getting this as well. Lots of music on that USB drive (an interesting way to do it).

Sign of old age: The USB is a deal killer for me, I don't trust it.

Hmm. . . Live Airplane is not always that exciting to listen to. . . . I'm going to pass.

Last Friday the deal of the day was an Airplane gig from February '68 at the Matrix ($4.20 for the FLAC). Some great playing on there; the instrumental version of 'Ice Cream Phoenix' is worth it by itself.

Not sure I need this box set, though. Seems a bit steep for a USB and a book.
