Quincy Posted May 23, 2013 Report Posted May 23, 2013 and single cds. You are slow to notice - this happened a while back. I was late to notice the increases because I am a "prime" member. Make up your mind. I'm a prime member too but this is about marketplace vendor shipping prices which effect all Amazon castes. Not sure it's a "bargain" and it fits with the DVD box thread, but the Rome blu-ray is $43ish at Amazon and I bit, inspired by watching "I, Claudius" for the 5th time around. I don't want to leave togaland and it was that or watch Animal House for the 20th time. Quote

Quincy Posted May 25, 2013 Report Posted May 25, 2013 the regular Amazon shipping prices mirror the "marketplace". That was my point Before I had Prime I always played the game of ordering $25 worth of stuff so I forgot that regular Amazon even charged for shipping. Duh, of course they do, my bad. Sorry 'bout that. Quote

Face of the Bass Posted May 30, 2013 Report Posted May 30, 2013 Very cheap Cecil Taylor box. http://jazzandblues.blogspot.co.uk/2013/04/cecil-taylor-2-ts-for-lovely-t.html I've got to say, this is a great deal. I had this box once but didn't have time to listen to it and so I sold it. Picked up the MP3s on this deal and have been listening to it all week. Fantastic stuff. I don't normally like MP3s but in this case I think it works, because the original set doesn't have much in the way of liner notes and the lineup of musicians is the same for all 10 discs. If you want some great Cecil Taylor to listen to for a small price, this is very much worth it. Quote

crisp Posted June 5, 2013 Report Posted June 5, 2013 Thanks. Didn't get an email for some reason. Although I've got a lot of CDs to catch up on (hundreds unfortunately), I ordered the Ellington Orchestra and the Jamal as (a) I want them anyway and (b) it's been a long time since I supported Mosaic and it's been bothering me slightly.
