Help Needed

I have a NAD C 541i cd player, and I can't get a cd out of it now, it's stuck. Anyone know how to get the cd trey to open without having to take it in somewhere?

Tap the top of the cd player (not too hard) and press the eject button. It's worked for me in the past. Good luck.

There might also be a release/latch somewhere near the door mechanism, accessible only through a pin-hole. I have no idea about this specific player, but (after unplugging the unit, of course), I'd look around for a hole somewhere on the bottom, back, or perhaps even the front -- that you could stick a straightened-out-paper-clip into. Stick it in gently, and if you bump up against something that allows you to push against it (but it kind of pushes back a bit), push in a little harder, and see if that doesn't trip a release that lets the mechanism open.

If I get a CD stuck in a player, I just open the thing up. Make sure it's unplugged from the wall.

This one makes the most sense to me, never thought of that. Or, go to plan B:

The screwdriver worked the best. I pried open the cd tray, and it still works. I know everyone was in suspense of whether I was able to retrieve my Free cd or not.
