Recommendations down tempo

Hi

I'm looking for down tempo jazz. I love "Kind Of Blue", "Lift To The Scaffold"-Miles,

but I could not find much beside that (it is my lack of knowing jazz artists).

"In A Sentimental Mood"-Zoot Sims is cool too...

Female voices + down tempo are most welcome, as well.

Well, it has to be down tempo

Any recomandations most welcome .

Verve released a series of compilations ten years ago called Jazz Round Midnight. I think those would fit the bill.

Concord/Fantasy released a series of compilations called Plays for Lovers. I like a number of them as well.

Universal released a few called For Lovers, but I can't get them to come up as a set at Amazon.
