Just got a trio disc on Emanem with Veryan Weston, Hannah Marshall & Laubrock. Really looking forward to digging into it.

Glad to hear this new Kris Davis album is worth the ducats.

i'll be interested to hear what you make of that Emanem, if you have the time Clifford. It's hovering close to the top of my 'to buy' list

I've seen that trio (Haste) live a couple of times...Veryan/Hannah/Ingrid are a perfect set of foils. They also appear together in Sol6 and Sol12 - larger groups also featuring guys like Tony Buck and Luc Ex...some fun takes of unlikely material in those bands! Hannah is really a *wonderful* 'cellist...a completely fearless improviser. My personal first call on that instrument over here!

Paradoxical Frog, which I picked up more for Laubrock and Sorey is a very interesting recording, I feel. Davis impresses, especially with her use of space but I've not tried any of her others but will do one day

I listened to most of Good Citizen yesterday via Rhapsody. I very much enjoyed what I heard. Thanks for the recommendation! I have the solo piano CD, which I will have to give a listen to very soon.
