Dan Gould
I thought there was an ignore function in the software, but I can't find it. Am I missing something or what?
Jazzmoose
I know it's at AAJ; I have a, er...very DEEP ignore list there. Is there one here? It could certainly be useful.

Use3D
It would be useful? Already?
Dan Gould
It would be useful? Already? Let's put it this way. I had an epiphany yesterday. Life is too short to waste it getting annoyed by people I don't give a shit about. So unless you can enable an ignore function, I'll be at AAJ where the software keeps my blood pressure down. I'm trying to stay out of the political forums myself. I hope you will stick around here, Dan! :rsmile:
Rooster_Ties
Yes, Dan, please do stick around. Be a shame to loose you. ( Come on, you can "manually" ignore who you don't really want to read. It's not that hard. )
Use3D
So unless you can enable an ignore function, I'll be at AAJ where the software keeps my blood pressure down. Fair enough, and I hope you stay too. We'll look into it.
AfricaBrass
I just checked the Invision Power Board website (the people who make this software). I did a search in their forums, and it looks like they've been getting requests for an ignore feature, but they don't have one in place at this time. They do have an ignore Private Message feature, but not one for ignoring posts. Edited April 15, 2003 by AfricaBrass
Daniel A
It couldn't be that hard to skip the posts of a certain member without an ignore function. Just scroll down...
Jim Alfredson
I don't think an "ignore" function exists in this software at the moment. There's only 240+ members. It's not too hard to ignore your neighbors at this point!
Dan Gould
Anyone who takes a look at my waistline can tell that I have a real problem with ignoring temptations. See you when the software includes an ignore function. Bye.
Rooster_Ties
Your loss, Dan, and ours too. Hate to see you go (sincerely). But, that said, I'll also say this... Geez, do you stay in your house all day long, just cuz you can't "automatically" ignore the people and things you don't like, that you might encounter during the day?? You realize that by filtering out the people who's political views you don't like, you automatically will/would be filtering out everything they say - even the jazz related stuff too. Kinda sad, if you ask me...
