Yeah I'm always in awe when I hear stories from older people about seeing all these greats "back in the day"! I've talked to people who've seen Albert Ayler, John Coltrane, Miles Davis and also people who have been to the German free jazz festivals in the early 70s and saw all the European greats (arguably) in their prime...
