tomatamot Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 Last week I got 5 albums from the Gearbox label. Really great music, but 3 of it have the label out of centre. Big s###t, I d`nt like my tiny little cartridge tip ending on a record label. Sounds this familiar to some of you? Quote
sidewinder Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 Suprised to hear that - being an 'audiophile' company and all that. I'm sure that they will replace without quibble - don't have any of their releases so can't comment further as to whether this is a common problem. Quote
Clunky Posted March 15, 2014 Report Posted March 15, 2014 None of my Gearbox LPs are like that. I've about 10 releases. All very good to excellent . Quote
Gearbox Records Posted April 7, 2014 Report Posted April 7, 2014 We were only recently alerted to this post and you're quite right, on some of our earlier releases the labels were slightly larger and conceal the lock out groove. However, don't confuse the squeal with hitting the label - this will not harm to the stylus. If you would like a refund for the three albums that concern you, please return them to us at Gearbox Records, Unit 8, Tileyard Road, London N7 9AH or email us at info@gearboxrecords.com Quote
clifford_thornton Posted April 7, 2014 Report Posted April 7, 2014 Only had one problem with a release - some big ugly marks on the vinyl, though they oddly don't seem to affect play very much and I ended up keeping the album. Every other one has been perfect, and the music is absolutely great. Quote
