People seem to mostly either be advocates for streaming/paid downloads/unpaid downloads or Vinyl... CDs rarely get any love! Anyway, this article made me feel like a bit less of a random weirdo for digging CDs. And it's Japan, too. the kids love Japan! Therefore i am cool, amirite? lolololol zomg etc

I still buy CDs too. Like vinyl, I find the physical object gives me a bit more 'connection' to the music as opposed to 1000's of digital files on a computer. Of course it's easier to just rip all your CDs/vinyl to a computer and just click the track you want to play but I like reading some liner notes, looking at the cover, etc while listening to an album.

If the CDs are well-produced/manufactured, and seem like some care went into them, I'm all for it. Otherwise... if they're just MP3s of milquetoast free jazz on a disc in a shitty paperboard sleeve, I could care less (hence recent house-cleanings).
