Jim Alfredson
Thought some folks around here would dig this.

mikeweil
Nice that you play Wes' tune, great playing by all, but I kinda like the groove of Wes' recording a bit more ...
johnblitweiler
Jim, this is a gem. As Michael Rock of WHPK would say: Anyone who can't dig this must have been born without a shovel.
Bluesnik
Very nice, but what guitar is the guitarist playing? A D'Angelico?

We never get a very close or clear view, but it appears to be a Heritage. I don't know what model that is, particularly since it has a maple top, which is a relatively new option from them I think. Heritage is the company that emerged in Kalamazoo when Gibson moved their operations elsewhere.

Jim Alfredson
It is indeed a Heritage and is his own custom model called the LB-1 (Larry Barris is the guitarist... LB...) He's having another one made that will be black with the wood grain showing through. It's a stunning guitar and sounds great. You can see it a bit better in this video. And here is a picture of it in the studio.

Jim R
Thanks for the info, Jim. Beautiful instrument, and it sounds great, as does the trio. Keep swingin!
