How’s the sound of that CD? I have a vinyl copy, which I must give another spin.

Great sound, sidewinder.

Never seen or heard of this one, little info please?

"New Steps" is a double album recorded in January 1978 in Italy and released on Aldo Sinesio`s infamous Horo label as Horo HDP 25-26

John Gilmore (ts) + Michael Ray (tp) + Sun Ra (keyboards) + Luqman Ali (dr)

You can find a couple of the tracks on Youtube like this one .... :

Monk 1954 Paris Centennial Edition -----(Vogue/ Sony)

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere. The sound quality seems excellent plus it features 23 mins or so of unreleased music from the same spell in Paris . The new tracks are trio recordings with Jean Marie Ingrand (bass) and Jean Louis Viale (dms) the final incomplete track probably as Dave Pochonet.

Yes, this is being released here in a week. I'm looking forward to it!
