Fired up my CD plyr and revisited Kai Winding/Curtis Fuller BONE APPETIT w Hank Jones, John Clayton and Jimmy Cobb, 1980.  Jimmy Cobb is so good, I can't get over his taste and groove.

Miles Davis "Porgy and Bess" Columbia LP

Listening to my Dad's copy of this.  
I lost him on Monday evening and wanted to hear this, which we listened to together many times.

He gave this to me when he went all cd, and I have better sounding digital copies but this still sounds pretty darned good.

Thanks Jim. I'm actually doing well. I got to spend the last nine years with my Dad and develop a friendship I never dreamed I would have. And he has been bed-ridden in Hospice for 13 months, it is not right for anyone to be bed-ridden that long. He was a fantastic man I am going to celebrate rather than be sad over. That's the plan.
