Great. Any general conclusions?

School holidays but as always my boys wake up around 6:00am… long mornings and lots of time to spin music.

Chet Baker and Lee Konitz – In ConcertR-2235880-1407341461-9176.jpg.f9a0bc77caa7729f6570419ee4dc16b7.jpg

Quite a complex one, particularly given the state of Baker's other releases around this time. And a bit of a seeming outlier for India Navigation to release.

I've never actually listened to this one. Is it the same as Extension Red White and Blue?

I got them all from Dusty Groove. I like the whole project. Tapscott, Mateen & Robinson are my favorites. The bass players are all good.

A late start to listening today–cold cold BUT sunlight–sunlight has been missing for a while.

Shirley Horn “I Thought About You–Live at Vine Street” Verve cd

A very realistic sounding recording. And Miss Horn delivers.

Jacques Morelenbaum CelloSam3aTrio “Saudade Do Futuro Futuro Da Saudade” Biscoto Fina cd

This was hard for me to find for a while, but worth the effort–beautiful music, beautiful sound.

Acoustic Guitar – Lula Galvão
Cello – Jaques Morelenbaum
Drums, Percussion – Rafael Barata

I check out anything with either Jacques or Paula Morelenbaum–fascinating artists.

EDIT to add: I just found out about the death of a great work partner I had for a number of years in Texas, Felix Farias. Felix was a great ying to my yang as he was a calm and steady counter-rhythm to the excitable boy I sometimes was. And he was so warm and open and friendly, and very funny. A great man! RIP Felix. It's interesting that I pulled this disc from the shelf because of all the music that I played at work Felix liked bossa nova and samba the best, followed by Nat King Cole, who he loved because his father used to play Nat's Spanish language albums all the time.
