Listening now. I always assumed that Todd would fit in well with this band. Sounds good so far!

I've never heard this music. When this short-lived band was formed and touring, it just seemed like a money grab, as this one CD was mostly live versions of Cars tunes. That said, Rundgren never said that it was anything but "an opportunity... for me to pay my bills, play to a larger audience, work with musicians I know and like, and ideally have some fun for a year", so you can't blame him.

For me it's an enjoyable listen, albeit one I don't spin that often. .  And it sounds like they were having fun as well.  Rundgren seems like he'd be a livelier front man than what the Cars were used to.  I would've gone to see them had they come around where I was living at the time.

I keep telling myself I'm going to delve into the Dream Syndicate and Steve Wynn at some point, yet all I've done is listen to the Baseball Project.  I need to rectify that.

Yes, you do! Especially "Days of Wine and Roses", their instant classic.

Earlier today, I got tickets to see RUSH -- less Neil Peart, of course -- in August 2026 in Toronto.

Saw RUSH with Neil over a 30 year span. Hope this is going to be a great show, as ticket prices win here in Ohio ( 2 shows no less) and out-priced me.

I saw Rush several times when they were Rush. This band, less Peart, is not really Rush, as Eric Lifeson said when Peart died. Even if I wanted to see them, the ticket prices are insane.

Yeah, Neil is an essential part of Rush. So glad I got to see them with Neil. Irreplacable IMO. Led Zep reached the same conclusion when John Bonham died (though Jason has filled in for subsequent reunions)....

Not going to pay somewhere nere a K for two tix to a Neil Peartless RUSH.
