GA Russell Posted March 7, 2024 Report Posted March 7, 2024 Steve Lawrence has died at 88. RIP. I liked Steve and Eydie whenever I saw them on television. I think that many of their records were arranged by Don Costa, whom I was not a fan of. Steve Lawrence, Grammy-Winning Pop Stylist and Actor, Dies at 88 (msn.com) Quote
Stompin at the Savoy Posted March 7, 2024 Report Posted March 7, 2024 My folks liked them and had an lp or two. They were pretty good singers but to my teenage self they were the epitome of squareness. Quote
sgcim Posted March 7, 2024 Report Posted March 7, 2024 RIP, I liked the timbre of SL's voice a lot. Quote
Brad Posted March 8, 2024 Report Posted March 8, 2024 RIP. I remember them fondly from the 60s. Quote

Teasing the Korean Posted March 10, 2024 Report Posted March 10, 2024 Now spinning our copy of Steve, Eydie, and Luiz Bonfa, on a minty Columbia 2-eye MONO LP. Seth McFarland has forever ruined Steve Lawrence for me. Every time I hear Steve sing - which is not frequently, incidentally - I think it's Brian, the dog from "Family Guy." Quote
