GA Russell
Steve Lawrence has died at 88. RIP. I liked Steve and Eydie whenever I saw them on television. I think that many of their records were arranged by Don Costa, whom I was not a fan of. Stompin at the Savoy
My folks liked them and had an lp or two. They were pretty good singers but to my teenage self they were the epitome of squareness.

Teasing the Korean
Now spinning our copy of Steve, Eydie, and Luiz Bonfa, on a minty Columbia 2-eye MONO LP. Seth McFarland has forever ruined Steve Lawrence for me. Every time I hear Steve sing - which is not frequently, incidentally - I think it's Brian, the dog from "Family Guy."
