Dan Gould Posted 4 hours ago Report Posted 4 hours ago Red Sox better be smart and have a certain lefty pitcher make it all the way from High A to the Majors in one year. Leftie Payton Tolle has a 133/23 K/BB ratio in 91 2/3 innings across High A, AA and AAA. What could it hurt to get him to the Fens by Labor Day and see how his stuff plays? Possibly their biggest weakness is the bullpen after Aroldis Chapman and a power lefty in the mix can't hurt. Quote
Tom in RI Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago Tolle is built like Crochet, 6’6” 250 lbs. I hope they bring him up sooner rather than later. Let him get his feet wet with some low leverage middle relief innings. Quote

Let him get his feet wet with some low leverage middle relief innings. At minimum and see how he progresses from there. Shut down middle and late relief is key if they make it to the playoffs. (And watching the video he doesn't seem that big ... more like a Linebacker than Crochet who I would liken to a Tight End.) Quote
