Extra tracks on Mosaic sets?

Since I have the individual CDs, I did not really pay attention. Are there bonus tracks on the Hutcherson, Hubbard and Joe Henderson sets that were not on the Individual CDs? I think there was at least one on the Hutcherson. I assume they cannot be bought as downloads anywhere.

The Mosaic page for the Henderson says this: "On five CDs, you’ll find 47 tunes including 3 previously unissued on either LP or CD." Details on the discographic page:

The Mosaic page for the Hutcherson says this: "Our set features 76 recordings on seven CDs, and includes 1 previously unissued tune, 7 previously unissued alternate takes." Details on the discographic page:

I don't believe there are any previously unissued on the Hubbard set. I don't believe any of these tracks can be downloaded.

The alternates are nice, but don't really offer any further enlightenment. Good to have to have, but that's it.

The Hutcherson has a lot of alternates! The new tune, Photon in a Paper World, has me curious. It used to be 'rejected'.

No unreleased material on Hubbard set but 8 (7 alts) on Hutcherson set & 3 (all alts) on Henderson set - I've included a further Henderson alt (Mode For Joe) which was only released on a Japanese SHM CD a few years back

It looks like 10 alternates plus Photon. The Mode for Joe issued in Japan is not in the Mosaic Box? That is nuts.

The two alternates that appeared on "Mode for Joe" SHM-CD 2015 from Japan are on the Henderson box set. These are correctly not marked "previously unreleased."

as Jazzbo just indicated it is indeed in the Mosaic

The other alternate "Black" from Mode was released very early on with the first CD issue of this release

The alternate of “Mode for Joe” (the title track) IS — as far as I remember — on the Mosaic too.  I’m talking about the track that was previously only ever on the semi-recent Japanese SHM CD reissue (which I do have).

I don’t have the Henderson Mosaic (nor the Hutcherson or Hubbard), but I did buy a copy of the booklet for the Henderson Mosaic.

I will say that that alternate of “Mode for Joe” is a real stunner, far as I’m concerned.

I too am really curious about the previously unissued “Photon” from the Hutcherson set — but less so the other alternates.

When push came to shove, I couldn’t justify rebuying all that Hutcherson just for that track (and the alternates) — although 10-15 years prior I probably would have bought it.

I can play you that alternate of “Mode for Joe” sometime, Bertrand — it really was an eye-opener for me.

I have the Henderson Mosaic & the (J) SHM Mode CD - both have the alt (tk #20)

The alternate take (tk #20) of Mode For Joe from the Mosaic is the same as the alt tk on the SHM CD - both are about one & a half minutes longer (9 min 30 sec) than the master version
