Listening to a newly-acquired copy of the BGO double CD that brings together three of Tom Scott’s mid-1970s albums, including the two with L.A. Express. I think I have about 15-20 of these BGO twofers (threefers?), and the annotations and sound are consistently good. What are some of your faves from this label, jazz or otherwise?

Just playing thisexcellent set. Only thing I dislike is the cheap looking artwork which gives you the impression you’re buying one of those sucky PD label compilation. But these are excellent

Great label - and this one is excellent!

I also like their Freddie Hubbard - the mid 70s Columbia albums - while not great, they are worth. listen and the packaging/price is right.

Yeah, they did a nice job repackaging some CBS/CTI titles, such as Blythe, Hubbard, Farrell, Turrentine, Laws into very efficient sets with good sound (their mastering tends to be excellent).  They also have a good package of John Surman's first three albums.
