Achtung Dr. Freud Calling's Achievements

Newbie

Newbie (1/14)

  1. To drink while eating a [Non-Jimmy Dean] pair of Weisswurst? With a copy of the Magna Carta and/or Hot Rod Magazine (with photo of a '32 Ford Roadster Coupe on the cover) at one's side to peruse while dining? I must try this new and exciting beverage Herr Lowe!! Will you invite me to your home?
  2. Don't you remember when Icelandic Albertson's friend Wingy/DEEP was dissing Butch Warren here? He lobbed some salad dressing at the shirt. What KB said -- plus a Blakey.
  3. I know of an excellent doctor for young Aric...my good friend Achtung Dr. Freud Calling!!! His methods are, shall we say, idiosyncratic, but highly effective!!! Red!! Spring is springing forth, so those old blue glasses are history, dust, archives!! Aric, I'm watching you! Stop that shouting or I'll burn zee shirt!!
  4. Actually sounds pretty good. IMO the tempo is just right. Betcha can't do AC/DC's 'Whole Lotta Rosie'!
  5. Were it not for Callin' all Cats on Louis Donaldson's Blues Walk, that cd would be dangling from mein rear view mirror.
  6. "Arthur Rankin, in an interview, revealed that Misfit Dolly's problem was psychological, caused by being abandoned by her mistress and suffering depression from being unloved." Arthur's full of baloney!!! True, vith Dolly it was psychological --- but it had nothing at all to do vith abandonment and more to do vith zee fact that she vas constantly embarrassed by ze mistress who'd often show up on ze sidelines at after school soccer games sporting ze most unusual looking Fall weather attire!
  7. http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...mp;#entry827852
  8. You're not going anyvhere, Herr Cartonsleeve, until you tell me vhy a Dutch oven is called a Dutch oven?!!
  9. A discography would answer all your questions. You do like books, don't you? Ze question hasn't anything to do vith wanting a dry laundry list of titles & release date, but rather if people believe that this 54-56 period is considered his finest work? Dates and numbers in a thick volume don't do ze objective analysis for you, Herr Chuck, mein freund!
  10. "Alfred Lion would be walking around, (snap) 'Mmm! (snap) 'Ooh!' -- now vait a minute, it don't sving, it don't sving!" So we'd stop and laugh and then come back and slow it down just a bit. Then he'd say, (snap) (snap), "Fine, fine, dot really svings, ja!" "It was during this 1954-56 period that Mobley began recording on his own; the music is generally considered his finest work" 'Mobley's Message' or ze Savoys?
