The new Tone Poet. At least up there with the King sonically, will have to check.

18 takes of bi-section? :D

Giorgio Buratti -- My Soul in Performances -- (Bentler, IT)

That's a name not often mentioned here, although he recorded several excellent albums.

It's a shame (and hard to believe) that none of his work has even been reissued.

Agreed on both counts -- I have several of them and they're all excellent.

‘The Artful Dodger’ on Concord is worth checking out. Includes a snippet of him soloing on drums as ‘Kid Krupa’ with Glenn Miller’s AAFB during WW2 as a very young prodigy !

Update on the Riverside. Marked T/P on the inner so test pressing it is I guess.

Jimmy Smith - Back at the Chicken Shack. Original mono BLP 4177, in pretty decent shape. Picked up, strangely, in a flea market in Reykjavik in early March 2019. Apart from a local soccer club shirt for my boy, this was the only souvenir I took home from the island, an amazing, other-worldly place. And the music is smoking good, as if anyone can argue that. I'll always associate it with Iceland now.

Yep - a while since I last played this one. One of Cables’ best I think. An inspired trio performance.

What a gem ! Never issued during Rosolino’s lifetime - great band with Harold Land and Victor Feldman, Axelrod production.
