Scott Dolan
Hey Pete, can I ask you a question? Did you have problems with the back cover on yours? Mine came off just a few days after I had purchased it. I always wondered it was a manufacturing flaw, or mine just didn't get enough glue. jazzbo
I bought mine. . .oh maybe fifteen years ago or more? Glue was on and stayed on all this time. I think you got one made Friday afternoon. . . .
David Ayers
Glue. Needs its own thread.

Pete B
I had always assumed the back cover was a temporary thing meant to come off after opening since it detached so readily. Anyway, it resides safely within the box lid now.
Scott Dolan
AHA! The plot thickens. I'm not the only one, then. Mine has always remained attached towards the top, and never completely come off. But if I didn't make a conscious effort to hold it in place whenever I grab the box it would have easily pulled all the way off by now. Kevin Bresnahan
Mine was not glued at all. It came off with the plastic outer wrap. Same as the Miles box. Like Pete, both of my boxes have the back sheet inside the box now.
mikeweil
Same here.
Scott Dolan
OK, that makes me feel better. It's really not necessary, but it's nice enough to be able to turn the box over and see the playlist. Can't recall exactly what I paid for mine a decade ago (maybe $135?), but $90 is a steal either way.

And that, dear friends, is the true crux of this matter. Somebody should prepare to get happy and carpe diem all over this thing!
Scott Dolan
Without question! If I had the chance to get this phenomenal box set at that price, I wouldn't even give it a second thought. No brainer...
jazzbo
And never hesitate to do business with Pete. He's among the best ever to deal with. I checked and mine IS glued on, oddly enough. Maybe I glued it on myself. I've done stranger things! I just realized that the back cover of my "Bark" LP by the Airplane has all the song and personnel info very nicely printed on the back cover, and I did that nearly forty years ago. But didn't remember that I had. Edited January 4, 2014 by jazzbo
Scott Dolan
Science proves that your back cover isn't any more glued on than any of ours.
