If it's the weekend it must be typhoon time.

This time we've been assured that this is the mother of all typhoons, we were just kidding last weekend, you really, really must run for your life and so on.

Nobody cares at all, there are so many typhoons here that they don't even bother giving them names, just numbers.

I just hope it doesn't fell one of the trees outside again. A couple of years ago one went crashing into our next door neighbour's balcony.

This one is # 19 this year.

#19 won't be a problem, once the beast has passed by the weather returns to normal very quickly.

I can barely imagine there being a third one following. Two in two weeks is more than enough.

Thanks - relieved to hear that !

There is a slight possibility we could get some rain here in Los Angeles tonight or tomorrow, however they have downgraded the chances about 60% since yesterday. It hasn't rained here for like 8 months.

White Christmas!

A goodly fall at present.

Something between rain/sleet/snow coming down here. In the family we call this "Glossop weather" as we would go the few miles to that higher place to find snow for sledging when my daughters were little. Trouble was the younger one would ask to go to Glossop in May or June as if the winter wonderland was permanent there.

No snow or sleet down here.

Very windy and wet though - and cold. This transition from Summer to Winter for me will be a challenge..
