  1. Cubs win. We will be in Wrigley on Saturday to celebrate Carla's birthday and Ann bought a single for Friday while Carla's at work and I'm visiting Von Freeman.
  2. There seemed to be some tension between Raney and the Lou/Warne team. I don't know what is was and hesitate to voice speculations.
  3. I put that group together for the Chicago Jazz Festival. I have a tape of the gig.
  4. Sounds like they had a world class tambourine player on that date!
  5. Sunny Murray, esp 1032, original.
  6. Cubs and Milwaukee in the bottom of the 8th.
  7. Have a great weekend young man.
  8. Any chance 5 of those will be the Art Ensemble box? :blush2: Three of them will be from the box. Excellent! Congliptious?
  9. I feel like I must be fatally ill or something.
  10. Shit! And I was embarrassed before.
  11. Any chance 5 of those will be the Art Ensemble box? :blush2: Three of them will be from the box.
  12. I hope someone is collecting his version of jazz history and publishes it somewhere on the net.
  13. The first time I read through that sentence, I thought it said: "All of the natives sat in their cars and were very reserved." I'd say that's pretty damned reserved! You must have been thinking about the indians and eskimos.
  14. Looks like a great series of gigs. Hope all goes well. This reminds me to play the cd tonight.
  15. That's right, I forgot that your entire catalog is being re-released on Sept. 9. At least 6 discs will be out before then.
  16. Just Air Time. Shouldn't say "just" Air Time, as it's a great record. Air Time is the only Nessa record by Air, &, I believe, the only Air title that Chuck produced. Correct. I must say all this attention is embarrassing at the moment but I will welcome it in a couple of months when more reissues appear.
  17. We use Firefox on 3 pcs and a Mac without any problems.
  18. Remind me of this the next time you contact me.
  19. Hoppy Jumpy Yardbird
  20. I used to listen to that one over and over. Had to listen, could you sure can't read the yellow-on-white cover. Seriously, thanks for your contributions, CN. Nothing to read there. AND not my fault.
  21. Diz was in a world of his own, like Monk. Monk made music out of his career and Diz made a career out of his music.
