Checking my collection database - I have 1 Braxton, 1 George Lewis and 12 Wadadas. Guess I'm a sucker for my friends.

Yes Pee Wee painted the impulse cover. There are around 90 paintings by him. These were in Terry Martin's collection and his sons gave them to me. The horizontal painting is #45. titled The Crab, painted in August, 1966. The other one is #77, titled Turmoil, painted in February, 1967. I believe Terry got these from the estate of Marian McPartland.

I now possess 2 of his artworks - anyone have any special knowledge of his paintings?

At that point I was in Madison, WI and advised the home office (Scarsdale, NY) on the purchase for all stores in the chain - mostly in college towns.
