  1. That's his reputation. His music sounds otherwise to me. I think his problem was his hair.

  6. Maybe the granddaddy of the "Minors" spawn is Tadd's "For Europeans Only" written for the Don Redman band in 1946.
  7. If I lived in Canadia, I would wonder where the French version is, not where the friggin' index is.
  8. Dave's first post set me off so I decided to ignore the thread. Say "thank you Dave".
  9. Just a couple of times. I think George was just being "formal". He has never addressed me as Charles.
  10. Our heartfelt sympathies to you, family and friends. Peace.
  11. For over 5 months you should talk to a professional in the health field. I am sure humor will follow.
  12. Many outstanding performances on the Vanguard label. The cd reissues are a programming mess but find the duos with Ellis Larkins, the Mel Powell trio date and another Powell date including my favorite version of Gershwin's Liza. The current Vanguard reissues are in great sound but the programming is maddening. Get the material and program your own cdrs. Also, look for the Sackville trio date with Ed Bickert.
  13. Need to check that out. Never heard it. Thanks.
  14. Very few Atlantic sessions have great sound. Deal with it. Enjoy the music and feel blessed the machines were running.
  15. Then you have misunderstood me for a long time.
  16. Oh good Lord--had no idea that the original Mr. M had returned. I'm so glad I don't cruise the Politics forum anymore. Thanks, but just to be a *little* clearer, I'll add an "o"! I really like this group--my kind of lunatics! Greg Mo You related to Keb?
  17. Just saw a guy piss in an alley. Other things to think about.
