  1. Been there, done that. Probably check in about 6 months from now.
  2. When I first loaded it she seemed to be switching back and forth. When I concentrated, she only went clockwise and I could not reverse the image. Guess part of my brain died.
  3. I disagree with that. He was an interesting player (for me) 40+ years ago but wouldn't drive 10 minutes to hear him now. I would drive 50 miles to have dinner with him. He is a very nice human. Not a bunch of those walking around. Impressions better left to Rich Little and I will completely leave Rich Little alone.
  4. Abe Vigoda Abner Doubleday Tuesday Weld
  5. All tools are in service for the desired effect. Nothing should be ruled out.

  8. I posted a response a couple of minutes ago and it disappeared. Come on over. The door is alway open and only about 100 miles. You can spend the night. Skid might even provide the beer and I will provide the pizza - and a bed if needed.
  9. Bear Bryant Rusty Bryant Rusty Jones
  10. Well, it made me pull out the file copy of the review. Palmer dislikes Subtraction, possibly my favorite track on Air Time.
  11. Probably no "echo chamber" on Kind of Blue. The 30th St studio was a very resonant room - that's why most people loved it.

  14. Dick Hyman played on some of the MGM sessions and might be a source of information. LeRoy Holmes is listed as arranger on a couple of strings sessions.
  15. I do like his cap.
  16. Why is this in the tradition of the Funny Rat thread?
  17. Nice for Herbie, maybe good for the music, very good for his publicist. Don't know it will mean anything for anybody in the future. Thanks for posting this anyway.
  18. I really hate the term "experimental music" unless the composer/performer says as much. If it is music, they "are doing it".
  19. Geez, I will be in town the 6th thru the 9th - but I am driving home on the 9th. Maybe next time.
  20. How about THIS?
  21. Never mind, Dolphy don't play 'bone.
