Is this Dial material? I have this lp -

Ellsworth Snyder was a great friend and we made a few attempts to make a Schubert / Webern disc, but it never worked out. I should dig out the tapes and listen again after 40+ years.

He doesn't comment of his playing here, just the others.

"Sounds and Forms for Wind Quintet" is shortened by almost 9 minutes for the cd. The full version would have fit.

All this Sinatra talk reminded me of a purchase I made in 1965. I was at the University of Iowa, working at a Rexall Drug store. There was a Woolworths across the street and I happened to spot this "gem" in a wire rack near the check out - there is a card on the back signed by Sinatra, numbered 1598.

Talkin' 'bout this place - Edit to say my wife Ann took this shot as we entered the studio for a Roscoe Mitchell date in 1978. A couple of hours later she was on the scaffold snapping images of the scene below.
