States Mull Taxing Drivers By Mile
mgraham333 replied to BERIGAN's topic in Miscellaneous - Non-Political
I completely agree. This is one of the biggest government infringements on privacy to uh.."come down the road" in a while. But I'll bet it'll happen. In fact, seems to me I remember hearing that new cars were already being equipped with such equipment, or plans were already in the works to require it. Hopefully it was while reading some wacko website, but I just don't remember... you may have been thinking of this -

Which Mosaic Are You Enjoying Right Now?
mgraham333 replied to Soulstation1's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
I've got Elvin Jones playing today. I'm on disc 3. I don't think I'm going to make it all the way through at the office today. I've had too many interruptions that have required me to stop the music. And UP for Sal's comments on the Max Roach. -
This is what I've been thinking while reading this thread. Why the hell didn't someone bring this up earlier?!? We have to get it on the release schedule and on the pre-order list at all the major online retailers before someone realizes that there may be an issue...? Therein lies the source of my anger. Why get everybody interested if you're gonna bail out at the last minute. Does anyone with insider knowledge know how far along this title got in the process. Are there thousands of BASRA liners and discs headed for a landfill somewhere? Ridiculous....simply ridiculous.

Listening at the end of the movie it sounded like the music came from an LP. I found the album in an MGM discography online: E/SE-4237 - The Great Jewish Melodies - Cyril Ornadel & Starlight Symphony Orchestra [1964] Eli, Eli/Raisins & Almonds/Papirossen/Shein Vi Di L'vone/A Breevele der Mammen/I Love You Much Too Much/Oif'n Pripetshik/Joseph!/Where Can I Go?/Was Geven Is Geven/Havah Negilah/Tzena, Tzena I'd love to find this on CD. If anyone runs across any info I'd appreciate it.

really cool, thanks for that! Anyone know where to get the music from this? Music: " shien vi di l'vone", " eli eli " by Ornadel and the Starlight Symphony

I placed an order on 02/04. I called my card company and listened to my last 5 transactions and learned that on 02/07 my card was charged for the amount of the order. My order status at showed up as "Pending Processing - Stock Check". After no movement on the order status and no response from customer service I decided yesterday to send one last email to their customer service address in which I told them that if they did not respond within 24 hours I would contact my credit card company to dispute their fraudulent charge. I also indicated that I would contact the FTC's consumer fraud division to report their suspicious business practices. I called my credit card company today to dispute the charge and the charge was no longer there. I filled out a complaint form at the FTC's website. I suggest anyone else who has ordered from these yahoos to do the same.

Sal: how do you like the set overall? What are a couple of sets you would rank above and below it. Thanks. -

Jazztet/Golson/Farmer. Every time I put this one in I kick myself for overlooking Art Farmer for so long. Disc 5 is one of my favorites. -
That guy’s nuts!

If anyone wants to add to this list, clean it up, correct it - go right ahead. I'll remove this preliminary version should that happen.

Which Mosaic Are You Enjoying Right Now?
mgraham333 replied to Soulstation1's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
It's OOP Friday. I'm listening to Blue Mitchell and Curtis Fuller. -
I thought I was the guy this series was for. Scott you and I are in the same boat. Most of this stuff is new to me. I've got a few of the McMasters that I've upgraded for sonic reasons, so I pass the older versions on to family and friends. But this summer batch has nothing that I already have. There were some duplicates for the FEB/MAR batches but like for you Christmas comes every few months for me as well.

Lots of new stuff for me!!!

Sorry, BbM7 - no intentional snub there. I just didn't come back to this thread until today. If memory serves, I picked up Madeleine Peyroux's Careless Love. This was one of those odd albums that I listened to when it first came out and said, "Nahhh I think I'll pass." And then months later come back to and just have to have... Go figure.

Spaghetti Frittata =========== 2 Garlic cloves, diced or sliced 1/2 - 3/4 cups Diced Roma tomatoes 2 - 3 Tbsp Capers 2 Tbsp Sliced black olives 1/2 LB Cooked spaghetti - cooked al dente 3 Large Eggs, beaten 2 Tbsp Parmesan cheese - more if you like 1 Tbsp Olive oil 1 Tbsp Butter or margarine 1. Saute garlic, tomatoes, capers and black olives in olive oil and butter until garlic is lightly browned. 2. Add cooked, drained spaghetti spread out to evenly cover bottom of skillet. 3. Pour beaten eggs over spaghetti and continue to cook until eggs are set (cooked through). 4. Place large platter or pizza pan over skillet and flip fritata onto the platter or pan. 5. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cut into pie-shaped wedges and serve warm with salad and rolls for a nice dinner. To reheat I sprinkle it lightly with water or tomato juice and put it back in a skillet for a until the spaghetti gets warm.

Haven't had any failed burns yet though I've only used about 8 of the 10 I have. They look really cool, but probably wouldn't use them for all my burning needs given their cost.

Just got done listening to the second Hill clip, Monkash, for the 3rd time in a row. I like this one a lot. I have a feeling this Select may stay in the rotation for quite a while. -

I grabbed both the new ones. Passing Ships and Black Fire made me a Hill convert. Can't wait for this new stuff. -
which mosaic set are you NOT enjoying...?
mgraham333 replied to etherbored's topic in Mosaic and other box sets...
I've been in my new house for over three months now but I still have all deliveries made to the office. For a couple of reasons: 1) security - I have far fewer concerns now that I have my own place, but there is still a degree of risk with something sitting outside all day 2) I am at the office during the day when the delivery is made and can play whatever I get right out of the box. No waiting until the end of the day.
