    Track 8 Lem Winchester on vibes from Winchester Special with pretty unmistakable (and not very much to my taste ) Art Taylor on drums, Tommy Flanagan pno, Wendell Marshall bs. Track 10 "Darn that Dream" - 2 guitars. Can say no more than that.

  13. My first heard Mingus album too. It was in 1961 when I was at university.
  14. Can you date the pic? It's the Messengers I saw in April 1961, with Timmons on piano, not Davis Jr. I think The Big Beat was their album nearest to that date - they played "Lester Left Town" at the concert. Is there an album that fits with this photo's personnel?
