  1. so this has been up for how many hours and no one deems it funny enough to at least add *some* smiley dude? (and no, the frantic red robosmiley doesn't count Ron) fegh that, you all are a bunch of no good fun hating douche bags! hah! (sorry clem) here you go Bint: Apparently I'm missing a lot of fun since I decided not to read threads about RVGs anymore...
  2. In many Continental European countries the postal/zip code comes before the city, so I guess it's an understandable mistake, or, if they used a computerized system, it might have been unavoidable.
  3. agreed, I've had an "airmail" order take 10 weeks from the USA to UK This has also happened to me a few times the last four months. The Dutch Postal Service told me the packages had been sent by surface mail instead of airmail (I paid for airmail).
  4. Did they send it by surface or airmail? Surface could take up to two months.
  5. Happy birthday.

    Elton Dean

I saw him when he had just joined Soft Machine. It was a legendary concert, at least to me. He was way too young to go.
  9. Yeah, it's raw. But like you said, still ... I prefer Lightnin' Hopkins' late 1940s and early 1950s recordings, which were reissued on Arhoolie (Goldstar recordings), EMI (Aladdin recordings), Columbia (Mainstream recordings) and Ace (UK; Modern recordings)
  10. It's February 8 here now, so: happy birthday Tod, and many happy returns!
  11. Yep, got one too, pretty soon after I'd posted here. The "road" across the pond seems to take longer than the one to Texas...
  12. I also pre-ordered the Ayers, but I didn't get a confirmation e-mail - yet...
  13. Paying for items won on eBay using PayPal is free, but you have to pay a fee when receiving payments through PayPal for items you sold on eBay - though maybe not in Germany, if I understand your post correctly.
  14. why German ebay? this is an english speaking audience. I'm sure Tom has a large German eBay clientele.
  15. Utterly tasteless in my opinion.
  16. If I remember correctly Michael Cuscuna has said that this series won't be revived because of poor sales. I don't think it was Cuscuna who said that the West Coast Classics bombed. It was Tom Evered (tomatbluenote) who said it bombed. Cuscuna is still trying to get the PJ stuff out as evidenced by his work with Mighty Quinn. Kevin Thanks for the correction, Kevin.
  17. Forgot to mention that it is a Connoisseur set.
  18. Here's the cover of Introducing Kenny Burrell: The First Blue Note Sessions:
  19. All 5 tracks on K.B. Blues are included in the 2CD-set Introducing Kenny Burrell.
  20. Have you asked Hiroshi if he could help?
  21. Don't tempt fate and get caught by surprise, 'ol sport.........keep ejecting those minis. If you get into a jam I can always help you out by accepting the Art Pepper 'Just Friends' mini-lp! p.s. As you prepare to "throw out" all that free/improv stuff, do me a favor and gather up the worst 300 or so CDs of the lot and I'll pay you to ship the entire box to RonS in Philly. Just Friends is actually a Bill Perkins mini-LP CD - I don't have it, by the way, otherwise I'd be happy to sell it to you.
  22. Five tracks from K.B. Blues (Blue Note Japan GXF-3052) were reissued on the 2CD-set Introducing Kenny Burrell (Blue Note 24561, still available), which also included tracks from Introducing Kenny Burrell (Blue Note BLP-1523), Kenny Burrell, Vol.2 (Blue Note BLP-1543) and Swingin' (Blue Note Japan GXF-3070).
  23. If I remember correctly Michael Cuscuna has said that this series won't be revived because of poor sales.
