I haven't met an alternate take I like. Whenever I hear bonus tracks, I always know why they picked the one they did to be the master. Or at least think it. Or maybe I just been used to the master take, automatically, the alternate take is un-superior to the master take.

They're reminding me of the ramsey lewis trio as I play The Sounds play Jazz on Broadway.

This was the case a lot with Ramsey Lewis in the late 50s and early 60s with his trio. But only, he was the reason they would get out of tune.

Oh I love that Here We Come cover. Some Amazon reviewer was real pissed that was a Japenese reissue.

IMO superior to Unity, which I heard from some doesnt seem to be the case with many people. I thought Elvin was much more looser on that date. Elvin played great on Unity, but he felt a little jumpy. His playing wasn't as jumpy on Into Somethin', meaning, no rock solid.

The Three Sounds play Jazz On Broadway. Label: Mercury not blue note, year: 1962. I thought this was pretty rare. Just picked it up today, have it spinning. Dan Gould, what do you think of this? Have you ever heard it?

What I dont get is what makes you bring that stuff here. This place is such a warm atmostphere, (most of the time) so wanting to cause trouble just seems, pointless.

He was banned at AAJ a few weeks back as a result of a series of anti-American tirades in the political forum. Believe me, he was being polite here! In pm's he seemed to be fascinated by the cuba-america relationship. Very subtley, it seemed he was putting down America, or whatever. I dont know. A wierd fella. You don't really know truthfully about anybody on the internet you haven't met. I thought Che was just a nice guy at first, then I just grew suspicious. Not enough to hate the man, just to get suspicious. He never gave me any real proof, of him being a jack ass but at times I felt it. And in his very last moments, he really wanted out, as opposed to, like three hours ago, today, he told us he wasn't going anywhere. Like Aric, he got in with Jim, which is pretty bad. To get in bad terms with the thread, creator, owner, wahtever you wanna call it.
