  1. Good he's loyal to his father. I used to WALK the bases in spite of my father! No joke.
  2. I guess I haven't been hooked yet.
  3. Can someone give me a real good point, for buying/owning a Mosaic. Or lemme say it this way. Why do you love Mosaics so much. It costs about the same to buy the individual disks, am I right? Or is it the fact that they are easy to obtain in Mosaics? I'm not too up on Mosaics. Don't have any, or really plan on getting any soon, I guess I don't have the stuff I need to invest in one or two. Is it the bonus features that come with it, that make them special?
  4. It's a classic. I'm sure you'll find many out there, who love it. If they don't, they just no like jazz.
  5. How did you find a picture of my uncle? I'm serious!
  6. Sounds like an episode from Highway to Heaven!
  7. There was a special on PBS about Brubeck's life, past and present. Very enjoyable.
  8. What is the TOCJ issue?
  9. Happy B-day, memorial of B-man great, Gerry Mulligan. Dig him!
  10. Yeah, but he said Sun Ra couldn't play shit, John Patton was average, and larry Young, was good. Just not as good as him. (lol) I wonder what he would of said about Booker. Probaly would of knocked him for not using pedals. Or something close to how he was so much better.
  11. Well I assume they wanted to remove it from the building.
  12. Sittin' around eating ice cream, drinking beer, and stuff like that, what else? what about some jazz
  13. The color of the back of Sonny Rollins' Bridge album! Man I love that shade!
  14. Does anybody know where I can find a back cover image of Donald Byrd's Royal Flush?
  15. And "Born Under a bad Sign", done by Clapton Bruce and Baker.
  16. No. It is not! Saying, "bring on your little math classes" is. How anyone can say the math program isn't obsurd is beyond me. They are going back to the old way in 2006. Many teachers agree with this, and everyone who knows what they are talking about, when it comes to this stuff, that I have spoken to agrees.
  17. He should go chill with the kids who through a friken turkey out a window. 18. Really, what albums are they being released on? Their version of Something is a cover, and great! I can do without the handclaps though. Mrs Robinson is killer!
  19. If I'm not mistaken, they skip over Allegbra. And I'm not bringing on no little math program as you call it. That's childish and a waste of my time.
  20. I guess you have no idea what the math program now is.
  21. I wonder how easy your math courses were when you were a youngin'. MUCH harder in my day - based solely on dealings with slacker dudes (and dudettes) nowadays who can't figure out how to give the proper change after a purchase. I'm gonna stay outa this thread . This is total bull shit!
  22. Which ramsey lewis hosted. Funny, it was on a smooth jazz station..
  23. This used to be a Sunday night radio thing here in NY.
  24. I wonder how easy your math courses were when you were a youngin'.
  25. I find that when they do originals it's really tight, and groovin. The little more corny side of them comes when they do covers. (JUST BARELY) The Christmas album, In The Christmas Spirit was just recorded too low. Other than that, my favorite non jazz band. Melting Pot, awesome! Their version of Something, beats the Beatles' version ANY DAY OF THE WEEK! Their whole bag is great. Absolutely love them. Steve Cropper, blues virtuoso! Al Jackson, tightest non show drummer in the world, rather painful death. I wonder what Jimmy Smith thought of Booker.
