  1. Briefly mentioned earlier in the thread, Grantstand and especially "Blues in Maud's Flat" is all sortsa greeeeeazy!!! Brother Jack makin' a rare appearance on a Grant Green Blue Note date, adding more fuel to an already ferocious fire. And then ya got Brother Yusef Lateef with his big thick muscular tenor just makin' everything deep-fried wonderfulness. And then there's the absolutely gorgeous reading of "My Funny Valentine" with Lateef on flute. Green & McDuff prove themselves masters of space on this one.
  2. Can I gome back now?
  3. Have you no conscious man. You know most of us are anal retentive completists! Now I have to devote my life to finding these titles! It will probably lead to me losing my job, my family and all my other worldly belongings! I hope you're happy! Hey, he lives close enough to us! ROAD TRIP!!!!
  4. You all are making some great guesses! Track 9, you guys are so close it's unreal!!! Track 16, you guys got the guitarist correct. I'm sure you guys could find a thread (or eight) that indicates who he might be greeeazin' it up with! mikeweil, where are ya?
  5. I was eagerly awaiting your comments; I figured you would've aced this one! Great guesses all around, but I have to tell you, reading your guess above just MADE MY DAY!!!!

  11. Aw HELL yeah!!!! That stuff they did for JB is TIIIIGHT!!!
  12. I may have purchased other discs from him, but the one that stands out is the Teddy Wilson Mosaic which he sold me right after it went OOP. And for a very good price at that! Like I said in the other thread, this set has taken on a more personal meaning now.

  15. In all fairness, it's my first Prestige McDuff (I have a couple of his Blue Notes), but that's still no excuse for being so unhip.
  16. # 11 on the list (the band is the ultra-greeeeazy Righteous Buddha):
