  2. Thanks!!!! Ah, how I'd love to visit Scotland sometime!
  3. Thank you, GOM!!! Tell Red I'll raise a glass in his honor tonight while re-listening to the Sonny Clark Night Lights episode.
  4. Thanks Harold!!!
  5. THANKS, AGG!!! We're gonna get down there this summer, I promise!
  6. It was, thanks!!!
  7. Thanks, my man!
  8. Thanks! Whatta picture! However, it'll be happier if you bring back that lovely picture of Ms. Heigl!
  9. I wish! It's the Rangers, whattya expect?
  10. Now THAT'S a birthday card!!!
  11. Thanks, and thanks for starting the thread. Didn't get a Mosaic, but I got lotsa good stuff nonetheless!
  12. Captain and Tenille's "Muskrat Love," and I don't care who knows it! I have literally put this song on "repeat" for an entire afternoon and it's a little slice of heaven. So what if the lyrics are the dumbest ever? Toni Tenille's voice and the electric piano at JUST the right volume and it's bliss for me!
  13. Me, me, me, meeeeeeeeeee!!!!
  14. We're coming down there next weekend and I got a Half Price Books gift card. Which HPB is the considered the best (if not most consistent) for rifling through the used LP bins?
  15. Very VERY cool, ubu!!! Thanks for posting that!

    Jim Hall

Yes, especially that little bit of comping he does in the interlude between Desmond's and his own solo on "Bossa Antigua." I love moments like that!
  17. Another terrific show, David! Playing "It Ain't Necessarily So" (all ten burning minutes of it!) had me bouncing in my seat here at the office!
  18. That was pretty wild, cheers, but at around the 6 or 7 minute mark it's just a bit, well, repetitive. Thanks though. My thoughts exactly.
  19. Not only that, but unlike some of the other questions where they gave you the 'other' option and a nice little space to spell it all out, there was no 'other'. That's really short sighted on their part if they're truly interested in finding out where people are getting their info from. I was kind of annoyed that they didn't have a yes/no question about whether they should start including obis with their cds & vinyl. They're probably still steamed that we allegedly shut down their board and then this place took off better than the old BNBB ever did.
  20. Here's the fun I had with the Quintet and the Silent Way boxes (tracks in italics are not part of any original LP; I didn't use every single track): Disc 1: ESP (original LP order) Disc 2: Miles Smiles (original LP order) Disc 3: Sorcerer Prince Of Darkness Pee Wee Masqualero The Sorcerer Limbo Vonetta Water Babies* Capricorn* Sweet Pea* Masqualero [alt] Disc 4: Nefertiti Nefertiti Fall Hand Jive Madness Riot Pinocchio Hand Jive [alt] Madness [rehearsal] Madness [alt] Pinocchio [alt] Disc 5: Miles in the Sky Stuff Paraphernalia Black Comedy Country Son Black Comedy [alt] Country Son [alt] Disc 6: Miles in the Sky, Part 2** Teo’s Bag Thisness Circle in the Round Water on the Pond Fun Sanctuary Side Car I Side Car II Disc 7: Filles de Kilimanjaro Frelon Brun Tout de Suite Petits Machins (Little Stuff) Filles de Kilimanjaro (Girls of Kilimanjaro) Mademoiselle Mabry Tout de Suite [alt] Disc 8: Ascent** Two Faced* Dual Mr. Anthony Tillmon Williams Process* Splash Splashdown Ascent Directions I Directions II Disc 9: In a Silent Way Shhh/Peaceful In a Silent Way/It's About That Time Disc 10: Mornin' Fast Train** In a Silent Way [rehearsal] Mornin' Fast Train from Memphis to Harlem*** It's About That Time**** The Ghetto Walk Early Minor * I wanted to keep the Water Babies tracks with their respective recording sessions ** Not a real album, much less album title; just playing "what if" with the extra tracks *** This is actually IASW disc 2, track 4 (called "Shhh/Peaceful" on the box). I gave it the original intended name (based on the info in the box) and then edited the fade-in from that disc's track 7 **** This actually starts about 20 seconds into the track on the box, since I edited the fade-in onto the end of the previous track, and then started this track where the electric piano starts playing those descending chords. I have to say, I'm quite proud of my little edit on that last disc!
  21. But if you're looking for him, you'd be considered a Traut fisherman.
