  1. still waiting here in NY.....sure would be nice to have to listen to during the one-two snowstorm punch headed our way.....
  2. Still waiting on that Zeppelin set. My credit card was recently charged but I didn't receive a shipping notice. Rhino tells me it is on its way. Their free shipping offers no tracking an an estimated wait time of 5-12 business days. 3 weeks may have been an accurate call on their part.
  3. Box bargain available again! Thanks! I punched it this time. Last time I ordered a new CD from Newbury fulfilled by Amazon it came with a drill hole, which is highly unusual for Newbury. Hopefully, I won't have to go through the return process again. I picked this up with the last notification and it DID come with the hole in the jewel case. That doesn't bother me though.....
  4. This thread is taking its toll on my wallet. I've had some less than stellar experiences with Rhino and their shipping. Three weeks seems to be the norm with them so add on another three weeks because this is a "special order" and maybe this will be here for spring.
  5. PM sent on Eskelin
  6. up with additional sold item....
  7. second spin had the pepper vanguard set for less than $15 with shipping earlier this year. that's the bottom for me.
  8. Set #12 arrived yesterday. That's my lowest number ever. I think my Gerald Wilson is in the 20s or 30s. Looking forward to digging in.
  9. I heard there are loads of counterfeits too which tend to be priced on the low side. Yes, lots of those are around, unfortunately. Caveat emptor on the low price deals. Buy from reputable sellers only. Would you be able to tell if you ended up with a bootleg set? Are the differences or lack of quality from a sound or manufacturing standpoint that obvious?
  10. I'm not sure what you mean in terms of "silver type" print photos. These are on a heavy stock photo paper. I'm not sure of their backstory in terms of the technology used to make them. This is the "original" photo I received, it is not a photocopy or something that I generated from a digital source. Hope this helps.
  11. a few more to see. Asking $12 for the Rollins. another mclean image and lastly....Monk and Coltrane. Asking $45 for this one. I don't really want to sell it (it looked lovely framed on the wall), but at that price I'd be persuaded. Monk/Coltrane SOLD Thanks again for looking! finally fixed the Hill, small victories.....
  12. one pic at a time seems to work, and i'll be damned if i can get the hill to flip over. oh well.
  13. I've tried uploading images but I'm getting "error 406." I've tried firefox and windows explorer. PM me with your email and I'll send you the images. Thanks. PS- Can anyone help with getting these images uploaded? Thanks again!
  14. updated....thanks again!
  15. Hello all. I have the following 8 x 10 black and white publicity shots. These things have gone the way of the horse and buggy for the most part. These days everything is done with jpegs, artists just don't send these out anymore. These are all in excellent condition and ideally suited for framing. The majority of the "older" artists photos were sent out in conjunction with reissue campaigns, so even though the image is older, the photos themselves are generally from the last 20 years. Price is $20 each and includes shipping to US addresses. Paypal only please. If you'd like a scan of an image let me know. On almost all of these images I only have one copy.... 16. Updated... Thanks!!
  17. Yes they did go to auction, however, as FZ would have eloquently observed, "The response from the ebay community was not particularly gratifying." So here I am again to tempt. I see that a few sets that I available have recently sold for more than my price on ebay, and a few for less, but I don't have the energy or ambition to go through the rigamarole. Not to mention ebay skims 9% off the top and then hits you again with paypal.....
  18. Bump..... Checking for any holiday interest. You know, these sets make a great gift!
  19. Wes Montgomery Riverside Big Box-$69.99 Nuwbury Comics,Burlington,MA The Mongtgomery box is available for all through Amazon (seller Newbury Comics) for $69.99. I couldn't help myself. I too would like to find a similar deal on the Mingus Debut set.....
  20. I too have had numerous excellent transactions with them. The merchandise is always as described, the shipping is prompt, and the price is usually among the lowest. I choose them over movie mars every time.
  21. The Jazzloft is also accepting preorders for the Threadgill set. https://www.jazzloft.com/p-52714-complete-novuscolumbia-recordings.aspx Interesting......
  22. Up with price reductions. Willing to make deals on multiple sets. Thanks for looking!
