  1. Bamboleate:
  2. Probably arranged by either Charlie Palmieri, Tito Puente, Louis Ramirez, and/or Bobby Valentin. The info I have is from the back cover of the LP. You can see it here: https://elusivedisc.com/celia-cruz-son-con-guaguanco-180g-lp/?srsltid=AfmBOoqXNVkgykFNvSF3SdvuzzlzKFoQn0e8Yfe6NNZ_rp8c_AJeHHVV
  3. Dimension Latina:
  4. Listening to music releases endorphins, which are natural pain relievers and mood regulators. It triggers dopamine, the so-called “feel-good” hormone connected to pleasure, memory and cognition. It lowers levels of cortisol, the stress hormone. https://www.cbc.ca/radio/asithappens/orchestra-prescription-9.6960793
  5. This fascinating album follows jazz drummer Baby Dodds as he demonstrates the sonic elements of his famous solos and discusses these component parts with the attentive audience. From a discussion of drumming in the 1920s to a tom-tom "workout," Dodds' album is as entertaining as it is educational. https://folkways.si.edu/baby-dodds/footnotes-to-jazz-vol-1-talking-and-drum-solos/ragtime-oral-history-biography/album/smithsonian?mc_cid=8916691311&mc_eid=2c917bba9f
  6. Sonido Bestial...check it out:
  7. A dude gives his view of the 10 best salsa orchestras – he speaks in Spanish, but the salsa is understandable in any language:
  8. Getting coworkers to enjoy jazz may require a bit more strategy. I once had a coworker who often listened to recordings of classical music performed on a piano. So I brought in a Bill Evans CD, and she liked the jazz that Bill Evans performed.
