  1. Ouch! I hadn’t considered that possibility. Don’t remember such a thing, but that was 23 years ago when my brain cell-negligent activities were at their zenith. Crap, no resolution yet. Er, I see you’ve posted again. Well, it must hav ben postpond until jUne. thakns fro the fun stroll donw brain damged memory lane,
  2. Sngry, that was quick! And to take a page from catesta, collect your prize!
  3. Under the heading of "News," the BN link to NJ.info disappeared about the same time musicboy went postal. They also have yet to add NJ.info to their links page. It’s been a while since I looked over BN’s links, can anybody guess the six-degrees of separation to this image?
  4. No problem. Anyway, my wife gets upset when I stalk.
  5. What! You mean you wouldn’t be interested in seeing a scan of something that counters published (ersatz) records? Inconceivable!
  6. Mnytime, I'll double check the date when I get home (several hours from now). I'm certain this isn't my imagination and I'll see if I can attach a scan of the ticket stub.
  7. Mnytime, I’m sure you’re right about the quality of their shows depending on year and venue. 25 pounds lighter? Jeez, and I thought it was comical when I’d read he was sensitive about beginning to develop a belly. I think your dates on the Mannheim show are a little off. I still have the ticket stub from May (well Ok, “Mai”) 31st. Eisstadion was incredibly tiny, nearly the size of a high school gymnasium. I went to the show with another guy in the service, an over-the-top Zep fanatic and fellow serviceman, and his pimp friend. They had quite the system: To get to the front of the crowd, the pimp would offer hash to whoever was between the stage and us. If they refused, the Zep fanatic would beat the living **** out of ’em. You don’t forget experiences like that.
  8. Off the top of the head: · Ellington’s “Half the Fun” and “E St. Louis Toodle-Oo” · Coltrane’s “Crescent” · Rollin’s “Blue Seven” · Blakey’s “Ping Pong” and “Paper Moon” · Mingus’ “Scenes In the City” These do it every time.
  9. Page was a scarecrow by the time I saw Zep in Germany. This photo was from the second or third to last show they ever played. I flaunt it only because my camera somehow avoided the roadie’s malevolent eye –and because I don’t have any personal photos of the guys I’ve been listening to for the last 20 years. Funny thing though. In my opinion, Zep was far more accomplished in the studio then they were in person. Live performances were so… haphazard, but the recordings had so many overdubbed guitars that I wonder if Page had trouble condensing the parts into a more cohesive whole? Or maybe it’s because they played so loaded. But then, the audience didn’t seem to mind. Zeppelin II takes my vote, but it’s hard choice since each album had such individual character.
  10. To be honest, and considering the degree of closed-minded bile the dude sprayed, I wonder if musicboy has the emotional stability and basic people skills to moderate effectively –but it’s Neon’s site and it’s Neon’s call. Besides, perhaps musicboy will behave if he thinks doing otherwise will jeopardize his reinstatement.
  11. Sorry mike, but I’m not prepared to post that particular piece of BNBB history (yes, I archived it due to its twist ending). I just wanted to remind jazzhound that some of us have more than long memories.
  12. Although I might be confusing two different threads, I think I remember reading of Difinative pirating a Nessa release. If true, it’s gotta be an awfully sore subject with Chuck.
  13. I tasked myself with searching the World Wide Web for your very special birthday image gif(t). Lo and behold, the search ended with the Rocking Melodian Lap Organ. Tried to work Berigan’s toilet maiden in, but the result was somehow less erotic than I imagined. Happy belated birthday, b3-er.
  14. Majesty Of The Blues is my favorite.
  15. I saved jazzhound’s entire Blackhawk BNBB thread. Think I’ll go give it another read for old times sake.
  16. I wonder if Internet Video is prepared for a vicious butt kicking?
  17. Favorites are such a flighty thing but I’d guess my favorite is Knepper –followed by Vic Dicknson, then JJ.
  18. Had to be rougher on you, Neon, than just about anybody. Thanks for keeping a sense of humor and perspective.
  19. I’m somehow reminded of Buddy Hackett in Music Man shouting “Protect the children” and “pure boys.”
  20. Yes! Excellent response music boy, but I’ve stayed up well past my bedtime to watch this fascinating tragedy evolve. It’s time to retire, but before I do, I just wanted to say thanks for rallying the membership into glorious defense like no other. My sincere apologies to Jim Dye. I knew better, and still got sucked in.
  21. Yes! Oh yes! That was definitely worth the wait. Good job, bravo!
  22. 34 members now online. 33 of which will be pissed if musicboy doesn’t live up to expectation.
  23. Just what we need, I thought. Another over-reactionary, seek-and-destroy zealot, but I’m beginning to sense the overwhelming and ironic truth. NOBODY expects the catesta! Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as: fear, surprise, ruthless comedy, an almost fanatical devotion to good jazz, and nice ribbed condoms- Oh damn!
