  1. Agreed. I have to say that they really did a nice job packing these things up....they certainly didn't have to double-box the cds and such. I'm tired of receiving packages that are thrown together by clods so I think I'll call these folks today and thank them.
  2. .....speaking of Wallington, wouldn't it be nice to see this on CD? I know I've been wanting to hear it for years. Come on Larry...use your 'pull' and start the lobbying campaign....work the magic to get that rabbit out of the hat!!!! 3. Holy man! No wonder your lawn is so high! Stop gossiping so much and get out there and crank up the mower before the summer ends!!
  4. I had exactly the opposite experience ---- only called one time to make sure that the credit card # was a go and had a very pleasant conversation with the guy....chatted about the 'news' of the sale making the rounds on the various bulletin boards....even spelled out for him some of the links to a few of these boards so that they might possibly check in. He was appreciative and quite friendly. So watch it and don't say anything to piss them off -- they're watching!! I told 'em Nessa was the bad apple to keep an eye on.
  5. Yep.....3 or 4 years with the North Stars as well!!!
  6. Leeway is Italian and so is Catesta --- so Catesta must have been Leeway....and the two of them obviously were engaged in a conspiracy against Fitzgerald. Everyone knows it but the lone guy who's packing up all the cd orders at Concord.
  7. Jim, there has to be some way to start all threads with this quote. ...then again, someone else appears to have been "mixed up" about the Evans 'Manne-Hole' disc ---- turns out it is the K2.
  8. Good luck!!! I'm on the Alexandria/Arlington line and my packages were loaded on the delivery truck at at the main Alexandria facility at 1:00 am Sunday/Monday and still haven't arrived -- 10 miles away!!! Apparently, they incorrectly flagged the address as 'business' rather than 'residence' and they went on the wrong truck!! This has happened w/them before. Nimrods! When ya have a choice....UPS is always the way to go imo!
  9. Whoopee - even my 'Lem's Beat' Not so fast!!!! Your little precious is now being held in the basement while a 'Lem-for-Lush Life' prisoner swap is being negotiated. I'm adhereing to Geneva Convention dicates and letting it out for 10 minutes of fresh air and one cigarette per day.
  10. Yeah, where did Mike go? It's been over a year. Did Lowe flip out and start trashing Gigi Gryce?
  11. Eh, I suppose I know what ya mean... .......but ya know, for an old broad she's still got some decent looking legs -- so it's not all that bad! Now don't take it too hard and start sulking around the office. But if it'll help, I'll drop Pelosi and insert the name of some 'crackerjack' NHL player instead. Hmmm let's see....some real swifty? Um, how about Gump "Anyone who wears one is chicken. My face is my mask" Worsley?
  12. Don't worry, I've got my own "You and Pelosi have the IQ of a piece of furniture, so....... up over and out this!!" pre-programmed response.
  13. BILL, MILES, JOE, J.J., PHIL & ART (CBS)
  14. Dude, I just noticed--that's the OJC. The K2 (PRCD-7188-2) IS still available. Aww, you're kidding? Rats.... I coulda sworn that I ordered the K2. Guess Chuck was right about someone getting 'mixed up'. Hey, if you've exhausted the other jazz titles, you could always fill out another order with some Debbie Boone and Michael Bolton (see? there IS an advantage to the Concord takeover). Naaa, screw it. Time to walk away. Can't cry about a cd. Gotta stay positive! I saved $3!!!

  16. Okay, so who loaded up on duplicates? Who's trading a 'Lush Life' for a Brubeck - Jazz at Oberlin?
  17. I wish. Here's the invoice: Ordered: 1 Shipped: 0 OJCCD-131-2 CANCELED: John Coltrane - Lush Life
  18. I'll watch for a Rembrandt or a Titian to show up on eBay next week!
  19. Based on the Concord e-mails, the only item to date that has been cancelled (...out of roughly 110 discs) is Coltrane's 'Lush Life'. Not bad. Everything is in transit.
  20. While I have a great deal of respect for Wood's skill level, this business of getting all pissy (he & Williams) at half the tee boxes, etc is really getting a bit tiring. Wood's old man raised him (supposedly?) to blot out everything and go into the zone to get the job done....yet here's Williams, at half the tee boxes & a few greens/fairways, chewing someone out for having some stupid little cam phone??? Come on! Some college QB is supposed to complete the pass with 100,000 fans screaming in the stadium. Same for the guy at the free throw line......or 'Joe' outfielder who's supposed to take the 95 mph fast ball coming down the pike with 50,000 people yelling their heads off. And here's Woods getting all rattled at what? What's little fancy pants Williams gonna do next? ...start shooting at birds that have the gall to chirp while Tiger is addressing the ball? Ultimately, despite the fact I love the game...these guys aren't in the same class as athletes who take punishment on the field (or in the mountains)......with boatloads of fans screaming away.
  21. Now there's a familiar site. My last house in MA was about 3 miles from the Castle. Not too far away is the old estate owned by Cardinal Cushing that the Unification Church somehow acquired in the the late 70's (1979?) and proceeded to turn into their HQ compound, complete with lovely 15 ft chain link fence topped with barbed wire. Say, weren't you one of Moon's first disciples over there, ManWithGoldenFriedClams? Wasn't there an '81 newspaper pic of you and the Rev eating a fish sandwich on a bench over at the intersection of Essex & Western Aves.?
  22. There are 3 separate LPs.
