Yes, I thought so too. I missed out on the Sanders which is now going for silly money so will snap this up I think

  10. It's worth a listen. Bass sound is very 80s but drums, obviously, and woodwinds are strong. Bizarre vocal on 'Fever'
  11. Thanks, I have the Zed-U and remember listening to the Kinch when it came out. He's also on a Five Blokes on Ogun Yeah, agree about those. I had forgotten he was on the Hawkins. I really need to revisit that, it was a favourite when it was released

  16. This is my first listen and I'm also very impressed. I thought 'Your Queen Is A Reptile' was a very strong statement of the then current "scene" but if I had a criticism I found a bit one-paced. This new one has a few more shades to it, it's still based on a dominant rhythmic foundation which if you don't get on with will be an issue for enjoyment. But the rhythms are more varied, Hutchings plays some flute and the vocal contributions are all sharp and don't overstay their welcome. Interestingly, for me if no-one else, I played it straight after Roach/Shepp 'Long March' and that didn't seem too much of a leap. Very different sounds but not, if you get my drift.
