  1. Lewis Carroll Alice Cooper Joyce Howard Barrell
  2. Paul Bley - In Haarlem, Blood [International Polydor, 1967]
  3. Itaru Oki - しらさぎ [Nadja, 1974]
  4. Never seen one as far as I know, let alone own one.
  5. Sounds great. I think Vision are streaming their concerts this year again, I enjoyed several this way last year, so I may well join you for some, virtually
  6. Thanks again. I've found a UK copy of the same edition as yours, I'll probably order that one
  7. First concert for 15 months at least, Sarathy Korwar Upaj Collective at Kings Place. Great music, Covid precautions in full effect which made it seem a pretty safe experience
  8. Thanks for explaining it all. I'm almost tempted just for the Abdul-Malik track alone
  9. Just listened to the Abdul-Malik track from 'Live in Rio' which is the only one I could find online, predictably marvellous. The Discogs entry for the album is confusing as to who plays with whom. Am I correct in thinking it's a different band for each track?
  10. Thanks John, succinct and to the point I will continue with my ignorance of it in that case
  11. Cuong Vu Foo Fighters Winnie the Pooh
  12. That's a Grachan Moncur III, and Tolliver too, appearance that escaped my notice. Does it live up to its line-up?
  13. Pharoah Sanders - Thembi [Impulse, 1971] direct lineage from 'Astral travelling' to the collaboration above
  14. Floating Points, Pharoah Sanders, LSO - Promises [Luaka Bop, 2021] I know this splits opinion, especially amongst the Jazz cognoscenti, but it works for me every time. Definitely not a Jazz album though.
  15. Pep Guardiola Harry Kane Cain & Abel
  16. I didn't realise that, don't know how I missed it either. Thanks for mentioning it. The 'New York Collage' goes for far more than the other LPs the last time I looked into it My 'Passing Ships' LP is faultless and sounds great compared to the CD (but my TT is probably of higher quality than my CD player nowadays). So I guess if you're lucky in the Tone Poet lottery it's worth a go Praed Orchestra - Live In Sharjah [Morphine Records, 2020]
  17. Patience, patience, patience Just imagine how good it will be when it finally arrives!
  18. My favourite is the one with John Lindberg. Great playing from both on that. The one with Tyler is more austere than I had imagined but that's only after two listens. He plays on a couple of the Black Saint albums iirc
  19. Iggy Ziggy Piggy
  20. Billy Bang & Charles Tyler - Live at Green Space [Anima, 1982] Bang's Anima releases would make a great boxset
  21. Sounds great so far, definite improvement on the CD, (which I've played several times this week) to my ears at least. My copy has passed the 'Plantation Bag' test, thankfully. Still two tracks to listen to though, so...fingers remain crossed. The pricing is steep over here but if it means shops like Honest Jon's survive then I'll make that choice. Lovely to purchase this over a counter in a real shop; it's been too long.
  22. Good to be back in a record shop today and unexpectedly find the Bang/Tyler
  23. Kidd Jordan Boy George Cheryl Ladd
