  5. baby is sick. pontiac made a few 25th anniversary nascar daytona commemoratives, and she is one of the best kept, and without restoration. there is the build order from the factory, the window sticker, original floormats.......... her fuel pump, located in the secluded gas tank, has grown feeble, hidden by a discouraging array of pipes, wires, and supports. she is gasping for fuel, and with transfusions, will run. the auto ambulance came for her today. summer is still young. maybe we can still do a parade or two, she and i, and a car show or so.... the world has bigger problems, to it, but....

  8. If you like creative improvised music and will be in Evanston area over the summer, please consider hosting a segment of the Jazz Show on WNUR. Your show would start the week of June 14 and end the week of September 20. We have a large library of CD's and LP's to select your music from. WNUR Jazz is among the best radio programs in the world when it comes to avant-garde jazz and free improvisation, but we also cover other subgenres such as Dixieland, big band, hard bop, vocal, and fusion. We play recordings from the 1920's all the way to brand new stuff. Pick around in the stacks and you are bound to find many great tracks to play. Plus we have a very dedicated listener base and the full support of the underground jazz scene in Chicago. Right now we have a few available weekday morning slots available. Please send an email to jazz-producer@... or jazz-md@... and describe your experience and availability. Online streaming and playlists are available at: www.wnur.org Thanks, Seth
  9. decoration day2010 "Kneel Where Our Loves Are Sleeping” Words by G.W.R. Music by Mrs. L. Nella Sweet Kneel where our loves are sleeping, Dear ones days gone by, Here we bow in holy reverence, Our bosoms heave the heartfelt sigh. They fell like brave men, true as steel, And pour'd their blood like rain, We feel we owe them all we have, And can but weep and kneel again. CHORUS Kneel where our loves are sleeping, They lost but still were good and true, Our fathers, brothers fell still fighting, We weep, 'tis all that we can do. VERSE 2: Here we find our noble dead, Their spirits soar'd to him above, Rest they now about his throne, For God is mercy, God is love. Then let us pray that we may live, As pure and good as they have been, That dying we may ask of him, To open the gate and let us in. CHORUS

  13. Rod, what camera are you using there? he's great! I'm in the midst of trying to buy a new camera for my wife and like the HD features on some of the newer near DSLR point and shoot models. Price and being too old to figure out a big SLRs the main reason I'm not going there. kinuta, which model might this be? happy? thanks! Nikon Coolpix S640. Yes, I'm quite satisfied and the price was very reasonable at about $120. My link my $89 cybershot 120 works for me, but i might venture into the just introduced sony alpha nex-3. sony alpha nex-3
