after watching this year's playoffs, i've discovered that nhl hockey is now my favorite sport to watch, by far. observing and fathoming the subtleties and ebb and flow of a hockey match is like solving pi. much of the pleasure comes from the fact that advertisers haven't found a way to effectively control the sport.
