what are you drinking right now?

I'm a big fan of Arrogant Bastard. (You are what you drink, I guess). Is the oaked version very different? Do you like it better? this is one of the very few extreme brews that are wonderfully drinkable. the soft oak aging battles it out with the bitter hops. i immediately asked for another on tap, this is irresistable -

Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon tweeted after pitcher Alex Cobb was hit in the head by a line drive during Saturday's game: "Ron Porterfield & our medical staff did a great job today. All went beyond professionalism with how well they dealt with an awful moment."

sonic fabric recycles audio cassettes

i looked for this topic. i thought it was on the forum last week, but i cant find it. http://mashable.com/2013/06/14/sonic-fabric-tapes/ Tape cassettes are like endangered species: not often seen in the wild and on a fast track to extinction. But conceptual artist Alyce Santoro is trying to save them, while simultaneously appealing to the fashion world and developing a whole new way of making music. To create the material she calls "sonic fabric," Santoro mixes strips of one-eighth inch audio tape with polyester fibers. The tape and polyester are woven together on a loom; appropriately, older sewing technology seems to work better on audio tape than more modern machines. The audio tape retains its magnetization, which means it can play sound

During Thursday's A's-Yankees game, home plate umpire C.B. Bucknor made a punch-out strike three call on Oakland batter Seth Smith - except it was only strike two.

When I was at a game in Calgary, I happened to actually READ my ticket stub. It's actually printed on it that, by buying a ticket, I absolve the NHL, or the associated members of any responsibility for injuries that may occur should I be hit by any puck etc. while watching a game. I had no idea......................but I stayed and wasn't hit by a puck etc. By merely attending, you are accepting the possibility that you may suffer an injury. Hmmmm... the tv announcers mentioned that a puck may have injured someone during the 2nd period. -
Bryan Stow, the San Francisco Giants fan who was severely beaten in the Dodger Stadium parking lot over two years ago, is being sent home from his rehab facility because his insurance will no longer cover the costs.

Back to the subject at hand. Next game, Saturday in Chicago. Both teams should be rested up by then. Good grief!! After almost SIX periods of hockey last night, even I was exhausted!! I'm pulling for Chicago, only because they're the only western team left. MY Flames didn't make it to the playoffs and the Canucks and the Oilers, my default teams bombed out too. that was exhausting, plus, i ran out of beer. ------------ tv ratings were outstanding!!!!! http://www.deadline.com/2013/06/stanley-cup-finals-ratings-game-1-record/ -
richard strauss would be 149 today.

Legendary Guitarist Johnny Smith has died.
alocispepraluger102 replied to robertoart's topic in Artists
Though "dirt poor," Smith nurtured his love for the guitar and taught himself to play via an arrangement he finagled with the Portland pawnshops. "In return for keeping their guitars in tune, they let me hang around and play some," he recalls. -Colorado Springs Independent, 3/15/2001 -
