  3. Ed, try that same patch that I posted about above. From the Lava Support forums I gather this should help you as well. Edit: Ed, here's a link to the forum where there is a big ass explanation near the bottom: http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=32791
  4. I gather you read the LavaSoft support forum entry on this one too? http://www.lavasoftsupport.com/index.php?showtopic=36065 seems you need to download some patch to catch this sb.
  5. according to what I can find on the 'net, you should be able to get rid of this thing using either add-aware or spybot. did you get the most recent definition files before running either of these?
  6. seems like something you pick up on a site you visit more often, or something that enters through email. try higher security settings (I assume you are using MS IE?) http://www.microsoft.com/security/incident/settings.mspx
  7. from the help files: so, basically it blocks some ActiveX processes that are known to be malicious or too Big Brother to feel very comfortable with. I don't use IE, but have immunized and haven't noticed much when occassionally using IE. IE doesn't perform that well with my firewall settings anyhow I have noticed.
  8. I got as sloppy as the shoulder-tappers... -_-
  9. yes, the one with Cannonball! and another recent reissue (2000) I have enjoyed a lot is the Today, Tomorrow, Forever album, which features some poppy standards like One Note Samba, The Good Life, and Call Me Irresponsible. All small group efforts with some dated organ slurs that do not detract from the pretty breathy voice of Wilson though.
  10. checking in here to state that I have had little chance to listen to this thus far, maybe this afternoon will bring some time. There are some very pretty things on the disk, some pretty nice things, and some things I could do without. Nate was not joking when he mentioned that there would be little on it that would ring many bells, some bells were struck though and I will try to draw some parallels and write up some impressions later. For now, let me translate Dan's trademarked abbreviations for brownie: HAFC means Haven't An FFing Clue, DKDC® means Don't Know, Don't Care. To be used only when the music doesn't move any one muscle in your brain at all, which is utterly rare in my case.

  19. Claude knows more listening to the ancient McMaster and I have yet to spot the problem. Probably need an ear examination... This is towards the end of Henderson's solo right? Can someone post an mp3 to illustrate?
  20. Shit. When did this requirement start? I'm screwed... can we delete this before catesta returns from his well deserved holidays?
