  1. Piano Concerto No.4 - Leonard Bernstein / New York Philharmonic
  2. No mention of the three Analogue Productions SACD's which includes some of the best material. Analogue Productions 3012 - Art Pepper - The New York Album (Hank Jones, Ron Carter, Al foster) Analogue Productions 3013 - Art Pepper - So In Love (George Cables, Charlie Haden, Billy Higgins) Analogue Productions 3014 - The Intimate Art Pepper (George Cables, Hank Jones, Charlie Haden, Ron Carter, Billy Higgins, ,Al Foster)
  3. Brahms Piano Trio No.3, Op.101 Dvorak Symphony No.6
  4. Have been slowly working my way through the Sonny Stitt set.
  5. Arno Marsh sounds good on this 1997 CD. R.I.P.
  6. Bob Brookmeyer is primarily known as a valve trombone player and composer/arranger. I have long enjoyed his piano playing. This is his only recording as leader of a Piano Trio, and I consider it a very good one. He did a duo piano album with Bill Evans, and has played piano on a few tunes with Gerry Mulligan , Jimmy Raney and Teddy Charles. His piano playing reminds me a bit of the way Jimmy Rowles approaches the instrument.
  7. Yes, and a very good one.
  8. I have the complete sets by Kempff and Lucchesini. I also have the complete set by Buchbinder which I strongly recommend. The other recommendation I would make is the Sony Box - Rudolf Serkin plays Beethoven. It includes 18 piano sonatas as well as other things.
