  1. I claimed 12-15 but I missed a few trying to recollect them all, I'm one level higher. My wife just phoned in an order for the Crusaders set for our anniversary. She emailed me at work- "what would you like?" My reply- "http://www.mosaicrecords.com/ 203-327-3111 The Jazz Crusaders: Pacific Jazz Quintet Studio Sessions ORDER NOW! Limited Edition: 5000 copies 6 CDs - $102.00 " (cut and pasted from the web page) I was first pulled into the Mosaic orbit by the boxed set descriptions in their catalog, the hard copy version. In the early 90's much of the music was not in print on CD, although now reissues come and go. I do agree the sets are for completists, and I have a strategy for making Mosaic purchases for artists I do not know a lot about. I purchase a few recordings not in the set and give them a listen. If I like them, I'll buy the set.
  2. Frank Catalano- Mighty Burner Fathead Newman- Cityscape Kenny Burrell and John Coltrane Ben Webster Meets Oscar Peterson
  3. In 2003 I purchased Johnny Smith, TKM and Stitt in one haul. For some reason I had too much money that month.
  4. The entire Farmer/Golson Jazztet sessions. Probably twice because it's only 6:45 a.m. now
  5. The entire Turrentine set. Twice. Just received it yesterday, edition #2215 if anyone is counting.
  6. Johnny Smith, Illinois Jacquet, & Sonny Stitt in shuffle play mode.
  7. Maybe you can run an extension cord to your neighbor's house...
  8. My biggest fear has been damaging/scratching a Mosaic disc. CD blanks are cheap, any office supply store sells them in cases of 50-100 with rebates so they cost almost nothing versus injuring a Mosaic disc. I copied a few hundred of my CDs including many Mosaics to have a chunk of my collection at work because I can listen all day 40 hours /week. My wife bought me an Ipod last October, now I can carry 80 cd's worth of music to work in a tiny little box that I can plug into my tuner and hit the "shuffle" button, randomizing my listening to tracks of Chaloff, Konitz/Tristano, Quebec, Desmond ,Blakey, Morgan, Mobley, Jacquet, Byrd/Adams, etc...
  9. This is a good set, but as was said in previous posts, it's all the Phil Woods I need.
  10. The Art Pepper Galaxy box, more than a days listening. Oops, thats not a Mosaic...
  11. The Golson/Farmer Jazztet set, mebbe the Crusaders too. MUST REDUCE WANT LIST BACKLOG!
  12. Hi, I'm a new member...The first set I purchased was #121 The Complete Blue Note 45 sessions of Ike Quebec, purchased with #141, The 1960's Jazz messenger recordings. I remember asking if they had any misc. parts of the #107 Quebec/Hardee set, but they had nothing they could sell me. I have since purchased a bunch more Mosaics, I'm keeping 'em all.
